The use of renewable raw materials plays a salient role in an economy to be sustainable in the long term. Today already a clear growth can be observed in the production and employment of vegetable fuels (or liquid propellants) due to worldwide efforts in climate policy and the increasing prices and uncertainties of fossil fuels. Further enormous increases are to be expected. Whereas experiments with and employments of biofuels mainly used to take place in the context of domestic agricultural initiatives, today production is increasingly shifting to threshold and developing countries.
